Cary is thrilled to rejoin FIRE’s litigation team after serving as a legal clerk during law school.

Cary graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2025. During law school, she clerked with FIRE, the Institute for Justice, Philadelphia Legal Assistance, and the NFL Concussion Settlement Program. Cary also served as a senior editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. On graduation, she received the Extraordinary Pro Bono Service Award for completion of over 600 hours of pro bono work and the Fred G. Leebron Memorial Prize for the best paper in the field of constitutional law.

In addition to her JD, Cary holds a bachelor's degree in English from Barnard College and a masters degree in education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to law school, Cary was a teacher for four years.

Outside of work, Cary enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
