Jessica holds a Ph.D. in English from Penn State and a B.A. from Dickinson College in English and Sociology. During her Ph.D., she enjoyed teaching courses on writing and developing systems to manage each stage of the writing process. This work built on her previous experience with nonprofit grants management for a national nonprofit.

Jessica recently moved to the Philadelphia area, where she enjoys going for hikes and taking jogs through her new neighborhood.
