Concord, New Hampshire: City approves, but officials oppose, Satanic Temple display
Cases
Case Overview
FIRE Victory closed
Concord allows unattended temporary displays on City Plaza. The Satanic Temple’s display was approved, but city officials have voiced their opposition to the approval and expressed their intention to review the permit policy.
On December 18, 2024, FIRE wrote to the city council commending them for upholding the First Amendment and asking them to confirm they will continue to do so. In 2025, the city council once again approved the Satanic Temple’s holiday display.
