Early 2027

Are you passionate about free speech and ready to take the next step in your advocacy journey?

Join FIRE for our most exclusive student event of the year: the FIRE Student Development Summit, a three-day, intensive conference designed for the nation's most committed student advocates.

This is your chance to connect with FIRE staff, learn about public interest careers, and build the skills and network that can launch your future in First Amendment advocacy — whether at FIRE or beyond.

Through hands-on workshops, engaging panels, and candid conversations with FIRE staff about their career paths, you’ll gain insights into turning your passion into a profession.

What to Expect:

  • Professional development & career readiness training
  • Networking with fellow student leaders and FIRE staff
  • Exclusive sessions on careers in public interest law, policy, and advocacy

FIRE covers all travel and lodging expenses, including flights, hotel, and meals. Open to undergraduate, graduate, and law students at U.S. colleges and universities. Apply by Friday, December 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
