UND encourages responsible parties to work with the Office of Safety and University Police Department in advance. Advance notification and planning help ensure events are peaceful, safe, and well-organized.
To avoid scheduling conflicts and safety risks, responsible parties must get written permission from the Office of Safety before setting up tables, booths, displays, or other structures. Event requests must follow the Event Approval Procedure and should be made at least 14 days before the event. Space is granted by each facility on a first-come, first-served basis.

UND’s outdoor public spaces are open to University groups and related parties for both planned and spontaneous expressive activities. All events must follow the law, avoid disrupting University operations, and protect people and property.
